MGS's Review, by XII

[ @-. Wow. It's a beautiful game, made by the amazin' Hideo Kojima. At first, for me, the game was boring. Lazy camera, and the beginning of the game. I wanted to stop playing. But something told me to continue, and i played. But when the charismatic The Fear entered in the first Snake vs The boss fight. The game just touched me. I couldn't stop playing. So, don't stop playing even if it begins, and it is very difficult. You'l get used to it. It's a game to try....

A solid Gear for the Metal Series

Hideo Kojima is a perfectionist, and this is evident when you play one of his games from the Metal Gear series. Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater is a prequel to the Metal Gear series, and has a very thought provoking and excellent story. Well, what's a story without excellent gameplay as well to compliment it? Well, nothing. A movie, maybe? Anyway, the game is a masterpiece, and a very wealthy, tried and true experience to anyone who dares enter the world of Metal Gear. You are still Snake in this game, but you're playing in the past, so you do have access to cool gadgets and weapons, but nothing too high tech. The game has excellent gameplay innovations, and intense stealth action. You have the options of putting enemies to sleep, shocking them, blowing them up, confusing them, using them as human shields, and lot's more, but the most obvious method of stealth is sneaking past them. You'll have to feed on animals that you find in the jungle to survive and have enough stamina to complete the mission. You even have to treat your self from snake bites, gunshot wounds, shocks and more. The audio is fantastic, with great music, and even greater voice acting. The graphics are very well detailed, and are in-game, meaning if you switch your clothes and enter a cut scene, you will see the change in the scene. The bosses are amazing, with their own little back stories, (most of the characters in the game are well fleshed out) and the camouflage concept is one that goes great with this type of gameplay. It is easy for the story to go over your head, due to how complex it is, but both the story, and the game are magnificent.

Play it again and again

Even after my fifth time of beating it, it is still extremely enjoyable. I never gets old. So much fun to go around and snipe people a pistol.
