Game Description

Final Fantasy X-2 by Square Enix for the PS2 is the first direct sequel in the incredibly popular Final Fantasy franchise. FFX-2 re-joins Yuna and her companions Rikku and newcomer Raina in their quest to find Tidus two years after Yuna's fateful journey to defeat Sin. The once chaotic world of Spira has gone through a massive transformation, entering a period of "Eternal Calm:" The people of Spira now shun the teachings of Yevon and have opened their arms to former foes, the Al Bhed and the use of machina. The Machine Faction aims to propagate the use of machina in Spira, going as far as renaming "machina" to "machines" to remove the stigma. Yuna needs closure in regards to Tidus, so begins her journey.

Final Fantasy X-2 - PS2

Pros Cons
Loads of content Poor storytelling
  Doesn't live up to expectations
Fun but dissapointing

Being the sequel to Final Fantasy X, I came into this game with very high expectations for it. Unfortunately, this game far from lived up to my hopes. The game play was simply a continuation of X, adding no new elements (apart from the dress spheres) to liven it up. The dress spheres were a disappointing move away from the sphere grid, which I would have much preferred. The story line was also a huge letdown, reducing the cliffhanger from X to the status of a series of side-quests. The game was a disappointing sequel, but not altogether bad. It had some redeeming characteristics, but I could not get past my disappointment to call this game anything other than average.

Give It A Chance

It isn't the best FF game, and it doesn't have that good old FF feel to it, but it's an okay game. Just give it a chance. Don't let prejudice keep you from having fun on this sequel.

WHY?

This is the sequel to another final fantasy game that also sucked to me this is the worst one yet the story was crappy and the characters were terrible worst final fantasy game ever unless your a die hard final fantasy fan dont pick it up that's it that's all.

FFX2

A spin off of FFX this game takes place like 2 years after FFX. The story to this game is lame not good at all, game has a goofy corney feel to it's weird not you're original FF game thats for sure, but the games battle system is pretty good I was expecting a better story out of this game.

Final Fantasy X-2 - PS2

Not the best sequel....

Well...this was one of the biggest ff game for me since crystal caravans. I mean it ditched the old classical turn-based style and not only that, but it changed yuna's personality completely...and I guess she revealed her true self, I didn't like it. The mulitple classes was a good idea, but it could use a lot of improvement. The blitz games have changed, that went down for me as well.....X was better for you were the actual player instead of the coach. the only thing that kept me going was the occasional, event drama, and the ending. No, but I don't mean just any ordinary ending...I mean the 100 percent ending. In total there are three endings......(use codebreaker=ez 100 percent)I don't wanna spoil it, but I'll tellyou the perfect ending is the best..someone makes a comeback...A good idea, but not executed correctly. Let's see if there are any more ff games that star tidus yuna wakka, or any of the others.........
