Def Jam Vendetta - PS2

Love it and hate it

Buit on the same engine as the classic N64 No Mercy I can't help but feel let down. The story mode is great but everything else is not enough. The controls have been "dumbed down" and the absence of 40 man battle is just plain sad. The good is the animations, the characters, and the all out brutality of the special moves. Just wanted more freedom with the creat a player and story modes. Like No Mercy.

Da ghetto Mortal Kombat

When I first played da game it wuz fresh, espically da finishing moves! This is like takin' Mortal Kombat and mixin' it wit rap. I wuz close to finishing though. This game I'll definently recommend!!! Da only prob is you gots ta hold your opponent to do special moves.

Not bad at all

it wasn't terrible, better then i thought it was gonna be. one good reason i liked it, we get to beat the crap out of rappers, which by the way, rap sucks, so i enjoyed beating the hell out of them. but they need a story mode, thats the main thing here, wheres story mode? the specials are really cool to pull off. overall really good wreastling game.

This game turned my friend into a Def Jam Vendetta nut!

Once my unfortunate friend started to play this game,he couldnt stop, I had to literally pry him away from the controler an hour or two later. Def Jam Vendetta is undoubtably my favorite wrestling game,it a blast. The graphics are awsome and really push the PS2,especially with the character animations, and the sound and the controls are all that the fans of the genre could ask for. It so fun, especially in two-player mode, beating up eachother with your favorite rappers, the results sometimes can be hilarious. The best point in this game is definatly the multi-player,which is great for partys. While DJV doesnt compare to great fighters like Soul Caliber 2 and Dead or Alive 3,its still a must buy.

The BEST wrestling game for PS2!

This game is definitely the very best wrestling game for the PS2. The story may not be Academy Award worthy, but it offers a story that is a hell of a lot better than other WWE games. It makes you fight for something. There are four characters to fight through the story with, but there are all the others like N.O.R.E and Redman to unlock and play as in other modes. A create-a-wrestler would have been nice, but i am definitely not complaining. The grapple and reverse system is great as always with Aki giving a hand. This is definitely a must-buy game for any fighting or wrestling game fan and definitely worth renting at the very least for everyone else!
