Dragon Ball Z: Budokai - PS2

Not all that it could have been

I was actually rather disapointed with this fighter. The game just seemed to be lacking. I would suggest not to even rent this game unless you are a DBZ fan. If you are a DBZ fan then this game may appeal to you. Let me start off with what I didn't like about the game, the control's overall. They are simple (to simple) and hard to meanuver at time's. The game bassically revolve's around the same button combination's for everyone. The only difference is the move that you are actually doing with that button combo. And every fighter for the most part has the same strength's and weakness's. So you are bassically just choosing the character you like the most to play as, due to the fact that there is no difference between character. The audio was done well, using the US voice actor's. But after a while the one liner's start to get repetitve REAL quick. he story mode was also a nice feature, though it was extreamly short. Now the place this game really shine's is the visual's. The game is close to a replica of the Animated series, using cell shading to keep the animated feel to the game. And if you end up actually enjoying the game there is a good amount of replay value. With a number of unlockable item's to keep you coming back to the game. Overall this game is not for everyone. If you arn't a DBZ fan then like I said don't really bother. Also I might suggest looking into another DBZ fighting tittle as they have gotten better as the game's have gone on.

JUST YOUR AVERAGE SUPERSAIYAN

This was my first PS2 game that I bought. I went home, all excited, & popped in the disk. At first, this game had everything to offer. A crapload of fighters, impressive graphics, destructive environments, decent stroylines, pretty cool superpowers & LOTS of things to buy. Then after awhile, it just got dull for me. The fighting controls are a bit clunky, but not much. The game was moderately fun for me, but it's a pretty popular series now.

Now you're finished! Final FLASH!!!

I loved this game! I have to say it was better than Bodukai 2.(Read my B2 review and see why) The graphics weren't that bad,the story mode wuz awesome. I would've rated the game E because it hardly has any blood in it and you see the "violence" on it every day if you watch the series. I didnt worry much about the characters. As long as the Bodukai games have Vegeta in it i'm down. If you're a DBZ fan (what am I sayin c'mon everybody's a fan) I would totally recommend the first game.

Why is this game so underrated

This game is a bit underrated. It's a DBZ game, and has fun stuff do, with some fun unlockables, and is fun in general. What more do ya want?

Not so good

It is true that this game doesn't have much to offer. PS2 definitely has better fighting games than this, so pick up Soul Calibur 2 before you get this 1.

Can this be possible?! A decent Dragon Ball Z game that every Namekian and Saiyan fan will enjoy? You bet, but don?t expect a revolutionary fighting game.
