Cant go wrong with this ps2 FPS

I have only played Red faction 2 but I have heard good things about Red Faction 1. But my experience started with 2. This game is an awesome FPS. Easily one the best on the ps2. Red Faction 2 looks good for a ps2 FPS. It doesnt look as good as some xbox games I have played but it still looks good. The weapons models look nice and well detailed. Theres a nice selection of weapons and they all sound well. The audio in Red faction is high quality. The game sounds very good. The game story is entertaining and provides good motivation for the fighting. A evil dictator named sopot takes over a planet and you have to stop him. The games controll are also responsive and well implemented. Every thing responds well to the buttons you press. There are some vehicle missions where you can play as a tank, a mech, a futuristic helicopter and a submarine like vehicle. The vehicles themselves control nicely as well. The character models look well detailed. The games AI is also pretty good. Its not the most advanced but it does provide a good challenge. The coolest part of Red faction 2 is the completely destructible enviroments. You can blow any thing up. If theres soldier in the next room just blow a hole in the wall and get them. You dont see this used in any other games nowadays and especially not this well implemented into the game. Red faction 2 is well made and good quality ps2 FPS. It is a must have for any FPS fan who also owns a ps2.

Red Faction II - PS2

Decent, but not great

decent, but not great. it just seemed like a unreal-ish game but got very boring after a period of time. tthe physics is pretty good, and the graphics alright, but it just got repetitive.

Red Faction II - PS2

great game

I love the twofisted shooting!! Using two buttons to fire two guns independently is genus. The multiplayer is awesome, but I beg for online play. Great game

Red Faction II - PS2

Its a good FPS

If you like FPS, then rent this game. Believe me, but first take some of my advice. First off, get 1-3 friends with you. Then when you pop the game in, go immediently to Multiplayer, and play senseless hours of mayhem. Some standing out features about this game is probebly the amount of enviromental interaction. You shoot a wall, watch it crumble like in The Matrix. The weapons are pretty cool too. Not to mention the loads of levels you can play (nope sorry you have to unlock them). For when it comes to the final grades here they are! Graphics:4.5 I would of given it 5.0 but there are some funny animations like trying to kill a guy who looks like Saddam ;) Sound:4.5 The gun shots are awsome, but in this game...what other sounds are there lol? Gameplay: 4.0 Like any other FPS to me, fun for hours then shut it off and sleep the next day. Overall: 4.5 Great game, a worthy upgrade from Red Fraction.

Red Faction II - PS2

The best shooter since Doom

This game is definatly worth buying, the range of weapons is excellent and the characters are fu**ing awesome, the great thing is that if you lose a level, it is still fun to play them over and over until you beat them! And another great thing is that if you beat the game, it would not be boring to revisit the data and play the levels in a harder difficulty level! To top off this great game is the fact that everything in the environment is destructable. The multiplayer mode is awesome, you always try to improve you rating and data and if you are having a hard time with the single-player, the multiplayer will more than keep you bussy until you are ready to give that level another try. The often auto-saves and sweet weapons make this one of the greatest games purchasable!
