A Rehash of the past this is not
The wacky animated characters who shoot at eachother all night long are back in Timesplitters 2, and everyone is laughing as frag after frag takes place in the laid back universe of...well...the place you choose. This second installment features everything that a good sequal should. More maps, more characters, unlockables, more gameplay modes, and wouldn't you know it? Cutscenes. The story mode basically is a treasure hunt for the time crystal. And in order to find it you must travel down a completely linear trail of people to kill and eventually end up at the end in which you escape through a time portal. Although the story is more comprehensibal this time around with the addition of biefings and cutscenes, it is still just a way for two people to kill things in co-op. The meat of the game is the arcade mode, in which players can choose everything from the type of players, weapons, locales, and gameplay mode. Although most of the new modes are only variations of deathmatch, so most players will stick to that. The overall visual feel of the original is still here, but character models and locations have been redone to have a bit more visual pop. Character animations are also a bit more fluid. These changes are evident once the older characters and levels from the first are unlocked. Although unlocking new war zones for your little virtual gladiators in the arcade challenge can be a chore at times, it manages to give a sort of time released capsul of fun, extending the life this game has. What this game does is boil down everything to what everyone wants to do, play together. And it capitalizes on this with flare and style. Timesplitters 2 is everything that a sequal to a great game should be. Don't fix what isn't broken right? Anyone who had enjoyed the first or multiplayer addicts will deffinately want to take a good long look at this one. If you have friends and a multitap at least.

The heir to GoldenEye is here
In 1997, people were blown away by Rare's revolutionary FPS GoldenEye. In 2002, publisher Eidos and developer Free Radical put out a game that surpassed the mighty GoldenEye's addictive multiplayer functions. In Time Splitters 2, you guide heroes of the past, present, and future to help stop the Timesplitters from taking over with the Time Crystals. The control scheme has a quick learning curve as it is somewhat close to that of GoldenEye. A lack of blood in the game is made up for by amazing effects, unique character models, and the best multiplayer functions to date. In the multiplayer options, you have the ability to create your very own stages to battle in. While there are only four environment tiles to choose from, the rooms and placeable items given make up for that small flaw. The map creator is somewhat similar to what you would find modding a PC game such as Rainbow Six 3. You can also create your very own mission objectives for your created map, which gives more gameplay to single player mode. The best thing is that you do not need friends over just to play it, as you can blast through every game on your own against AI controlled players. Elimination is by far the best option in the game, where you can set up a battle of 10+ players and give each a certain amount of lives. Once you've died the maximum amount of times, you are eliminated and the game will continue on with or without you until one is left standing. The story mode is exciting as well, you can even play through it co-op with a friend. With all of these great features; smooth graphics, excellent sound, and easy to learn controls. You will be on your couch for days trying to open up everything, eyes glued to the television screen.

Halo better be afraid, TS2 kicked the crap out of halo. The graphics for this game were fantastic, the new story mode was alot of fun, an the multiplayer was totally off the wall. me an friends have been playing this game since it came out like a year ago, an we love playing multiplayer. An by the way, i haven't found a single person who can beat me in this game. One of my all time favorite games.

fps glory in one package named timesplitters 2
my hopes after playing this were so high for ts3 that i doubt any game can reach this spectrum. controls are flawless, sound is rittled with gunshots and suspenseful music, and graphics have the awesome cartoony look that makes it different. multiplayer is unbeatible. no game has ever had 4 people have this much fun ever. many unlockables and a good story mode (too short sadly) keep this game from leaving the disk tray and mesmorizing you into its addicting gameplay.
