EXCELLENT SEQUEL
After playing the first one this was a definate improvement. Graphics are much better and story is still very good. Battles are bascially the same where the charactors move around the screen and you can combine magic with weapons for a more powerfull attack combo. I liked this game and hope they make another one. Fin to play as well... not boring and keeps you invloved.

Grandia II
Grandia II is great for middle aged role-players the graphics are very good but when out side of a battle its not that hard to get lost in the level or figure out where to go this game was great but not final fantasy great if you want a beter game i suggest Final Fantasy X

In a word: Lame
When I first saw this game, I was persuaded to buy it because it was under $20 used. I'm glad I bought it at that price, because I doubt its worth much more. Yes, this is fun game with a great battle system, but everything else in the game is pretty lame and boring. From the DC quality graphics to the cheesey voice-overs, you'll be sick of this game before its even halfway over. The characters are another flaw. You have this guy named Ryudo, who is an jerk with an ego, and this little annoying girl named Elena, and then this little boy whose name I forgot because he's so damned annoying, and all kinds of other characters. The one I hate the most is probably Mareg, specifically his voice. I don't even want to get started on how they say their special ability before they unleash it. And the God-awful music doesn't help anything at all... On the bright side, the game takes hours to complete, just as any RPG does, and has one of the greatest battle systems I've seen. If you've beat FFX and want another RPG to satisfy you until something else comes out, this is something to look into. However, if you expect something that like mentioned game, be prepared to trade it in at GameStop.
