Max Payne - PS2

Fun from the very start

Max Payne has to be one of my favorite games in my collection. A sad but interesting story that will make you play until the game is over. This is the first shooting game ever with slow motion and what really kinda annoys me is many other games have copied that, such as Rise to Honor but Rise to Honor was a great game but this review is about Max Payne. So besides the akward graphics this is one great game!

A great game

Max Payne put's a new spin on an old style of game's. This game has a fresh feel to it that will keep you returning for more, and story to go with it as well. I will start there the story of Max Payne is a great old fashion good cop gone bad revenge story. There are so many unexpected twist's, and just when you think it's going to end they hit you with somthing else. The story also unfold's to you in a stylish Noir Comic fashion keeping the dark tone in this game nicly. The grafix in this game are great, expecially nice detail when you enter into bullet time, which give's you the ability to kind of slow down time so you have a better chance to dodge bullet's. The control's are easy to learn and master, and smooth as well making for some fun less frustrating gameplay and an overall more enjoyable experience. The audio in this game is also done exceptionally well, from the character's voice's, to the OST. Though there isn't much of an OST the game rely's a lot more on natural surrounding's in the game to fill in the background space. And that help's pull you into the dark scenerio Max is in. The bullet time that I mention earlier is where all this started in videogaming now being copied by numberous game's just with the name changed. It is a refreshing and fun feature to use. Just talking about this game make's me want to go play and beat it again. If this game intreague's you or you are a fan of action video game's this game is definatly for you. If you are not into though's style of game's you might just find yourself enjoying it as well. Overall a great buy for everyone.

Max Payne, a man of many sorrows

Max Payne is pretty much a shoot-em-up. But the story is dark and violent and gripping, the only thing that really makes this game more than just a shoot-em-up. Worth a rental.

BULLETTIME ROCKS!

Great story line where your trying to clear your name and find your families killers. Bullettime was awesome as you slow down time in order to avoid bullets and to shot enemies with ease. Controls were easy to manage and the game itself wasnt too difficult.
