heaven or hell?
Guilty Gear X is truly a insane game, and I mean that in the best respects. With a good selection on wacky characters, a cool fighting system, and colorful graphics, GG X holds its own aginst the slew of PS2 fighters, and its only about 10/15 bucks or so. The only thing that hurts GG X is the lack of variety in some of the characters special moves, which is rather dissapointing. If you can look past this, than buy or at least rent Guilty gear. "rock on"

Argggggg craziness
This game is crazy. How the hell does someone fight with their hair? Why does that doctor have a bag that seems to stretch over his head? There is no logic. I love it!

Fast and Furious!!!
2D fighting had such hard time on 32-bit PS. Finally, things began to change upon the arrival of PS2, and GGX is one of those games starting to gain popularity. Not only that, PS2 made it easier to solve those glitches that happens in PS. However, several stages are rife with over- saturated colors that can be a distracting eyesore. But overall, GGX is SIMPLY THE BEST!!!

A definate must play
I must say, when I first heard of GGX, i just shrugged and figured it was another Mech game such as Armored Core. But when I was able to get a copy, i was quite happy with it. If you have ever noticed, in most games when they make certain characters, rarely ever are their stats in proportion to their size. Take Street Fighter for example, Sagat..then Cammy. They hit for the same amount of power. Sagat is huge, while Cammy is small. Now on GGX, Potemkin.. and Chip Zanuff. Potemkin is very very slow, he can not run like the other characters, only a slow walk, yet he can reach almost across the screen. And each hit, even his light attacks do more damage than most other chars heavy strikes. Chip on the other hand, is quite small, yet he is possibly the fastest character in the game. His hits dont do a lot of damage, but he can throw his hits quick getting in 3-4 hits in a second. Im pleased they have made the chars in proportion to their size and stats. Im not a real big fan of the Instant Kills, but then I have always preferred skill over dumb luck. Im a huge fan of anime, so the style of the game hooked me. Each char has his own fighting style and moves, but not impossible to learn. (try doing Shin Akuma's X-ism attack while in a battle with the AI... not easy to do). The grpahics are astounding. The character design is great, and the backgrounds are amazing. The only real bad thing I have with this game is the replay value. You have arcade and survivor.. not too much to work with, plus their is no story mode, so no way to learn about each character and his/ her missions. But other than that, a very solid game.
