Game Description

NHL 2002 by EA Sports for PS2 is a hockey video game Added features include a new "Breakaway Camera" and a "EA GameStory" feature, which rewards and recognizes gamers for outstanding play. Six different modes include "Play Now," Season Play, Playoff, Shootout, Tournament, and an in-depth career mode that allows users to extend the regular season into a full career with drafts, trades, and free agency moves. Other features include camerawork, overlays, and broadcasting by announcers Jim Hughson and new color analyst Don Taylor.

The game is fun with more than 1 person because when u play by urself on hard it is way easy. Completely different with two players.

Hockey at it's Best!

NHL 2002 is probably on of the best games on PS2 so far. The graphics were great and players look so realistic in the game. The only thing wrong I see with this game is the crowd when they show and upper view. Otherwise it's a great game to own. Especialy if your a hockey fan. G R A P H I C S - 5.0 The graphics are awesome if you don't add the crowd. What gets me is when you start out a period, the ice is shiny when you start then at the end you can see the lines from the skates. S O U N D - 4.5 The reason I give this game a 4.5 in sound is because of the announcers suck. Everything else like the sounds of hitting and pucks going off the post is cool. C O N T R O L - 5.0 The control in NHL 2002 is basicly the same from the other NHL games and is easy to use. F U N F A C T O R - 5.0 It's fun because you get to hit your opponent, score as many goals as you can, get in fights and more.

Good game but with a little lack and not very how i pictured it but still i think its the best hocky game for 2002

Hitz is alot better

I like NHL Hitz alot better than NHL 2002 because the Hitz is fast pace and alot of fun. NHL 2002 is not a bad game but there are some negative things about it. The commentary is very dumb and a is less entertaining. I do not like the double replay like madden because after the replays happen the outer team has more momentum,for example when the golile make a good save on replay during the game, the other team shoots and score the goal seconds later. The only good thing about this game is the gaphics in that it looks like your'e in a real NHL game. I rented the game for three days and I was dissapointed. I rather play NHL 2001 and thank my mom for buying NHL Hitz 2002 for Christmas.
