Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 - PS2

Wonderful

I played the version on the PS1 to death and it's wonderful to have a PS2 version. Sure they are milking the series but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. Plenty of fighters to chose from and tons of play modes. The fighter control is like butta and just about perfect. Buy it now before it becomes hard to find.

I really like this game but the scores about something different

Ok this is a good game but i'm sick and tired of Capcom pumping out old games and really being lazy. I mean they could have put like a lot more charecters in or maby add somthing to it... something. The same game is on the Freaking dreamcast... i'm sure the PS2 can do better than the system that killed Sega. uggg! Capcom stop being lazy and do something.

Mark of Honor for "Mark of the Millennium"

Capcom vs. SNK 2 for the PS2 has a huge selection of characters from the respective game publishers Capcom and SNK (now run by Agetec). This game is really the only way to experience the classic SNK characters without having to completely devote yourself to an exclusive title. Just like Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Capcom has devised a way to greatly surpass the original game with a stunning sequel. The music has received harsh reviews, yet still has great quality and the controls are smooth and easy. The character customize mode is way ahead of its time and will be copied in future games

Two of the best fighting game companies collide again!

CAPCOM DOES IT AGAIN!!! All the fighters are back, Chun Li has been redrawn to look much like she did in Street Fighter III Third Strike. New fighters from SNK are Hibiki from Last Blade 2, Rock from Garou, Haohmaru from Samurai Showdown, Todo from Art Of Fighting, Chang (with Choi) from the King of Fighters series, and Athena from KOF (appeared first in a game called Athena). From Capcom we have Kyosuke from Rival Schools, Rolento from Final Fight, Eagle from the VERY FIRST Street Fighter game, Yun from Street Fighter III and Maki from SNES Final Fight 2 (my fave Final Fight game, or the one I mostly rented for that manner). There are now SIX Grooves, the biggest in a fighting game yet. C and S groove are reminicent of the first game, A Groove is similar to V-ISM from Alpha3 and N Groove is the Advanced gauge from KOF 97, P groove is SF3 with a combination of Super SF2 Turbo and K groove is a combination of Samurai Showdown's Rage meter and Garou. Joe and Dan are back from Capcom Vs. SNK Pro and hidden fighters, Morrigan, Nakoruru, Evil Ryu, Orochi Iori and Akuma have been made playable. Only two unlockable fighters are Shin Akuma and Ultimate Rugal. There is the awesome Color Edit Mode, and a even a mode that allows you to edit your own grooves. The backgrounds of this game are the best ones I have seen for a 2D fighter. The music is uninspired, and I expected classic tunes, but it sounds very good overall, the voices are also pretty well done, the announcer is better here than in Alpha3. This is the BEST 2D fighter, if not the BEST FIGHTING GAME OF ALL TIME! If you don't have this game you are not a fighting game fan, Nuff'said!

Just like the arcade!!!

Remember when you'd be playing SNK, and your quarters ran out, and you had to go search for more? Well, not anymore, this game is purely great, its fast paced combos, and multiple combo strings are just about anything to make a fighting game fanatic cringe with joy. Although, i am not a typical fighting game fanatic, this must be one of the best fighters I have played in a while. So go rent it, call up some friends, and snap that multi-player adapter in, oh and drink some coffee, because this game will have you playing all night long! But be forewarned, you may have some trauma to your thumbs after a while.
