Game Description

NHL 2001 by EA Sports for PS2 is a hockey video game that brings gamers out of the stands and onto the ice. Lace up the skates and play with or against all 30 National Hockey League teams including the expansion Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild. NHL 2001 invites the world to play with 20 International teams including new additions, Ukraine and Latvia. Feel the full hockey flavor by building a custom team with the jersey editor, logo importer, and customizable city and team names. Other features include Quick Game, Season Play, Playoffs, Shootouts, and Tournaments.

Greatest Hockey Game

This is the 2nd best sports game I've ever played. And the thing is I don't even like the NHL, or Hockey. I like basketball, and only NBA 2K2 is better than this. Get this game now.

not really impressed

i was thinking it would have been much better, but will work. the graphics are good, but the little clips are repeated over, and over, and over. it was too slow of gameplay for me, but it beats the hell out of Faceoff 2001!

Great...but slow

I think the creators of this game were to interested in making the graphics really sweet, and they accomplished that reaaly well. But the game suddenly slows down when u cross center ice. It's like Max Payne on ice skates. But much more annoying. Hopefully 2002 would be a better year for EA. Nice Try.

COOL

Great graphics, great sound,realy god game but the only problem is easy to score goals. so i'm guessing that the next nhl game is going to be even greater.
