The StarCraft II beta has been ongoing for a while now, so we asked three seasoned RTS vets to enter the fray and wage war under the GamePro banner. After giving them ample time to rack up their fair share of thrilling victories and ignominious defeats, we've pulled them from the front lines to get a full debriefing on their experiences. StarCraft II: Beta Field Report
Reviews Editor Tae K. Kim was among the first to be invited to the StarCraft II multiplayer beta which launched February 17th. After installing the client and clearing off his workload, he jumped in for a match. Even though he had limited experience with the original StarCraft's multiplayer--he focused almost solely on the single-player campaign--he was hopeful that he wouldn't completely embarrass himself. As you're about to see, his hope didn't come true as he suffers an ignominious defeat in a scant five minutes.
