Supreme Commander

We have seen Supreme Commander in action, and it is good. Judging by the demo, scrolling from unit-level to continent-level views happens seamlessly in real-time without fancy tricks. And moving the action to an immense size and scope is probably just what the RTS genre needs. Taylor makes a good point when he says that "tactics happen during the battle, strategy happens before the battle." In that case, Supreme Commander looks to be focused very much on strategy, and less on the intense, visceral front-lines combat that defined the hard-hitting Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War.

  • We all know size matters. We say it's not how big something is but rather how we use it, but we all know that's not true. From our super-sized combo meals to our massive SUVs and 86-inch plasmas TVs, it's obvious that we love big things. We like big things in our games too, and that's where Supreme Commander comes in.
