A successor of Far Cry? Not quite......
Well,well....here is a late but my very first review of a game.I chose to review this game the first cos its the first game i bought back in the days (as in the time crysis was released).Ok! Done with the introduction.
Crysis the game which said to be the most technically stunning modern shooter which takes place in a small island in the south china sea.Pretty much like Far Cry the story setting is similar except for the fact that the protagonist Jake Dunn a.k.a. Nomad works for the government. We first fight hordes of KPA army at different places in the island, our team a group of five members are slowly cut down to three due to mysterious deaths. As u progress through the game u end up facing various weather conditions and scenarios, imagine a tropical Island turn in to frozen snow globe?get it?Thats enough to cover for the story with out giving out much.
The graphics bring the game to lime light for this game.Even the most advanced rigs will stutter in the name of Crysis but it is rewarding to have such a visual bliss better than any other game running on ur rig be it a mid range or high end.
The gameplay is one of the most engaging part of the game not missing out in gameplay terms our team is equipped with nano suits which have 4 modes cloak, strength, speed and armor. One has to use these modes and infiltrate through the KPA army camps. This feels fun for the first few levels then it gets pretty challenging later on.
The multiplayer might disappoint most gamers since it has nothing new or fun other than standard death matches, lack of team death matches is a negative when it comes to the re playability of the game but the game does have 4 difficulty modes easy, normal, hardened and delta mode.At-least these difficulties motivate u to find some hard drive space after finishing the game. The game should have had a lot more additional content such as extra levels watever they can add to make the game more exciting and fun. Now,those were the under whelming parts of the game moving on.
Overall the game having poor re playability is a pretty good benchmarking tool for ur new rig u bought recently and a bench marking tool it will be!.Crysis is a good game(i must say that!) but don't expect it to have an overwhelming experience instead something new and something you've done before. If ur an FPS fan be sure to try it!.
Since this is my first review would some one be kind enough to give me a few pointers, hints or anything i can correct whether its grammatical or a spelling.
Thank You!

If you CAN run it, you MAY enjoy it.
*If you are looking for details, you wont find them here, you got Gamepro review for that. *
---------------------------------------------
Crysis is not the most "PC Friendly" game on the market, it does have some high requirements that mid-end and even hi-low PC just cant live up to. And the reason for why its bad is beacuse the whole special thing in Crysis is the graphics, but, unless your playing on Very High\ High, you wont really see something that pretty as on High or Very High (mostly beacuse of shadres). You will be forced to play on mid, while there are other games on the market that looks better (much better) then Crysis on Mid (and now, there are many equal games that looks just as good as Crysis, well, almost).
---------------------------------------------
Crysis is not really a "full big scale" game. It feels quite average actually when you get to all the other elements of the game. The graphics is pretty, but its no way near what we saw at trailers at the time, and the whole engine is heavy and sluggish. When it comes to gameplay, its exactly the same as Far Cry 1, only you have a special suit that makes things a little bit cooler, but not much of a change. On the audio side, there is nothing new, but the quality is very nice and you can really feel the "boom" that a grenade or a huge explosion will make. The story is told out nicely with good voice acting and nice scene, but overall, its not something to drive you on.
---------------------------------------------
*Note that this review is written after Warhead has come out, and now I will tend to this*.
---------------------------------------------
If you liked Far Cry, and have like the Crysis demo, get Crysis. In a very unexpected way, Crysis never gets repetitive, and plays out differently each time beacuse of its open world system. Crysis is a good game, it brings vehicles with it, many cool weapons, smart AI, great sound and graphics, and a lot from here. Still, as for someone that doesn't like that much the "Sneak up" of gameplay, Crysis isn't that great, even though its very fun.
Now lets get to the Warhead thing. Warhead is a 30$ game based on Crysis engine, only its tweaks up, the graphics are better and the engine works very smooth. And more then that, in Warhead the whole is "go gun them", instead of "sneak on them", which means its got some intense action. The reason I mentioned Warhead is beacuse I would recommend for everyone to just go on Warhead, and if they are looking for more, go to Crysis as well, its still a good game. Note that if you didn't played Warhead some story elements can confuse you very much (which is why you still need Crysis for Warhead).
*This review is probably diffrent for you, but I decided to write it this way to tell pepole what I think they should know about the game. If your looking for details, go to Gamepro review, and try the demo.*

Pretty but a little underwhelming
Crysis has some amazing visuals, but the cost to entry is just too high --- it's not worth spending $1000+ to play what is really just another solid PC shooter. Sure the graphics are gorgeous, but what about the rest of the game? The physics-inspired sections are great, and many of the shootouts are intense and satisfying, but Crysis veers into weirdo territory by the end of the game. If the second half had been as good as the first half, Crysis would've been a monster hit. As it is, it's a great shooter for the hardcore crowd and a sign of impressive things to come in terms of visuals.

A judicious choice of a game
Crysis supplies the gamer with an edge of your seat thrill. With stunning visuals and unmatched realism and intensity, crysis won the game critics award. With the ability to adapt to almost any situation by changing your nano suit's ability and your weapons, crysis ranks up there at the top.
