A Solid 4
I personally liked this game and I gave it a solid 4 rating. I'm not big into MMO's, mostly due to the repetitive nature of them, but I do try them out once in a while. I tried WOW, which was ok although my little brother told me the latest expansion will make me like the game if I didn't like it before. I tried Everquest II which I thought was pretty cool and interesting although the story was a little weak. I couldn't stand Final Fantasy XI because of the leveling penalties if you died and how it took so much more LONGER to do almost everything in the game compared to others MMO's, although to its credit I have yet to try the expansions and see if there are improvements. Now, I'm trying Warhammer: Age of Reckoning.
Although this game is not exception to the repetitiveness, the story is interesting enough to keep playing it to see what will happen next and although some of the quests seem a little strange, I have yet to see an MMO that avoids this quirkiness. There are no shortness of quests either which is good since you always have something to do. The PvP aspect is played out quite well and the game does a good job of keeping higher level players from picking on the lower level players by literally turning the more advanced players into chickens where a LVL 1 could easily kill a LVL 30. So there are no raids to kill all the newbies, at least none that I know of so far or run into yet. There are "public quests" in which anyone, regardless of level, can participate in that take place in a predefined area and everyone is granted a prize (for the most part) for helping out based on number of kills, your level, the average level of the area your in... For example, there is a church outside a village that has been taken over so you and random other characters in the area get together and fight the "evil" there. Based on the aforementioned info, you get your prize and what not. Most public quests have 3 scenarios, or levels, and after they are completed the public quest is reset for other players to try it out.
This is an MMO that is definitely worth trying out. I find it better than most of the MMO's that I have played. If you don't want to pay the roughly $30 price that I have seen everywhere, look for new versions on Half.com BUT only pick up a new version since once the activation code has been used, you will need to get another one which only comes in new packages. Once you get that, you will be on your way to playing the game.

warhammer online
it's kind of similar to WoW but the added features like achievements, public quests, RvR, etc. are crazy. you get xp in almost everything you do and everywhere you explore, it gives you a reason to play and play more. it's not as stable as WoW yet but i'm telling you guys, this game's gonna rock! i still have my WoW but i'm definitely enjoying this one... i recommend this game if you love MMOs but if this is your first time playing MMO, might as well take a look at WoW first... i give it 4 out of 5 stars...
