What a let down....
When i first played the demo, about 2 months before the game was released, i thought the game was amazing... for a demo... little did i know, that the entire game was going to be the demo replayed over and over again...
the quests are meaningless in this game... and really repetitive... the basic model of 80% of the quests is this........ go ________ kill ___ amount of _______ enemy... even the "prizes" for completing the quests were pointless.. you usually get to choose 1 of several items, most of which are class specific, and nearly every time you can buy much better items at the shops...
unless your computer can run the game on ultra high settings, odds are the game and its effects are going to look like crap... the game was advertised with "random maps, for infinite replay value"... this is cool, in theory... but not in practice... some of the maps are so insanely messed up and full of glitches that they are nearly unplayable... the enemy placement is also random so you can go entire rooms without finding anyone and then all of a sudden the next room is full of hard hitting enemies...
This game was advertised as the "spiritual successor to Diablo2"... In my eyes, its just a shitty attempt to copy what made Diablo great... your better off just buying the Diablo battle chest, rather than getting this game... youll get much more enjoyment out of it...

Terrible disappointment
What a tremendous disappointment. Almost everything Hellgate tries to do is a failure. Aside from the Diablo- item collecting and some cool equipment mods, this is a real stinker -- stay far, far away.

I love it!
I love this game, but that's only because I love treasure hunting and searching for through the same levels over and over again! Does anybody know how to finish hell with a blademaster?

Hellgate: London
Portals to hell are opening all over the place, and demons are roaming free in such numbers that the land teeters on the edge of the abyss. Sound familiar? It should--it's the same basic premise that set the amazing Diablo series rolling.
