Strategy battles galore!

When I first bought Rome a year ago I did not know what to expect. I soon found it to be a game with so much gameplay. In the game you start off as one of 3 roman families, each having different foes while trying to conquer lands. During single player mode, in order to build your empire you must also be able to have a stable economy. Also, the game also takes place during turns which are the duration of 6 months(per turn). You can send diplomats to make allainces, trades and even bribe people to join you. Also after conquering an enemy faction you can then play as them in single player. Of course if you find that boring, don't worry, the game balances battles and management perfectly. Or you can just do "custom battle" mode, which allows you to set up a battle, and choose the units in all the armies. The battles in the game use "strategy" over "numbers". And are as realistic as possible . Meaning units will slow down from fatigue, and or run away from a larger force. The armies in the game are evenly ballanced and have their own specialties. The Romans really on infantry, The Greeks Spearman, Barbarains rely on numbers ect. Then theres the "historical battle" mode which sets the player as the general of an army in battles that really happened. Like being Ceaser defeating the rebelling Gual tribes. In the end Rome:Total War gives you countless hours of fun.
