BFME Rocks! 4.75 out 5
This game is old, but still is fun. I give this a 4.5 out 5. The game play is awesome and storyline as well. The graphics are good also. You could play as the good or bad. Yes you get the chance to kill Frodo if you don't like him. Each side have their own advantage and disadvantage. Each have their own super powers and attacks which are very unique. At times the game would be repetitive, but than it won't. The thing about this game is you have a command limit which means you only have a certain amount of number to be able to create units which sucks. Overall if you looking for a good RTS than get this it is awesome. Also, for those die hard fans of Lord of the Rings.

orcy come home
This game was awesome! The campaigen was super! The graphics kicked donkey butt. The sound came straght from the movies. The palantir was cool beacause it showed scenes from the movies.I do have negitaive comment to say though. The controls and the difference of units says"These gamers must have played rts games before".The game was tricky at first once I got the hang of it.The main map was freakin cool.If you like risk and/or lotr fan you should buy this game.If not you could con someone into buying it for you.You should at least give it a whack. The sequels arent bad.The game is a must for all lotr fans.

LOTR takes a different look.
EA really scored big time with this game. Battle for Middle Earth is good, real good. So good, you may spend hours upon hours up in your room, lights dimmed, taking over the world or saving it. There are two campaigns you can choose from, good or evil, take over the world or save the world. That is why this game is so good. The good patron will like it, but it also appeals to the sedistically maniacal human being who wants to reign disaster and chaos down on all of mankind. I know that feeling and we all have our urges. The good campaign starts out with the fellowship, as you command your nine heroes through Moria. the evil campaign starts in Isengard, where you get to command Saruman and his vicious army of marauding Uruk-Hai. There's a wide variety of units you can control, ranging from Wargs of Isengard to the Seige Towers of Mordor, and the calvary of Rohan to the knights of Gondor. Each side also has cetain powers you can utilize to your advantage. The evil side has the balrog for example, and the good side has the Rohhirim or Elven archers. All of these powers can turn the tide in battle. Your heroes also have powers. Gandalf has a particularly devastating power blast, that sends enemies sprawling and the Witch King has a loud screech, that inspires fear in all who hear it. Overall, the wide variety of units and the huge amount of freedom that is given in this game make it a jewel and one of the most addictive games I've ever laid eyes on. LOTR fans should have some seizures out of pure satisfaction when they play it. All those features on top of the availaible skirmish mode, make this game a perfect 5.0.

Great game. Period.
Great game. I am a huge fan of the movie trilogy and when I play this game it feels like you are in those battles of the movies. LOTR: Battle for Middle-Earth has great graphics, the character dialogue and cut scenes are great, and it is extremely fun to play. EA Games only proves to me that it can make great battle games (Command & Conquer) along with it stellar sports games. Any fan of the award-winning Lord of the Rings movies will absolutely love The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth.

I enjoyed it.
With good graphics and battlefields not mentioned in the movies, The Battle for Middle-Earth is definitely a must own title. I love the way each of the different armies are represented on the battlefield and how they each differ. Rohan's more rural and has the better calvary than Gondor. Gondor's more urban and revolutionized than Rohan and has the stronger infantry. And so on and so forth with the Uruks and the Orcs. The only problem is that it can get tougher and a wee bit boring, but overall a good score. Good job EA Games.
