Need for Speed now takes it to the streets but this time it crashed.
Need for Speed has been one of the greatest racing games of all time. Truly a classic in the racing games history. Now getting rid of almost everything Need for Speed originally had, I don't think Underground deserves the title "Need For Speed." TAKE IT TO THE STREETS!!! Undegrounds graphics are very impressive, nice detail on cars and on the streets. The controls are quite the same as any other NFS on the PC and you'll be able to change it to any way you would like. However, Underground plays better with a controller. The sound is pretty good with a nice selection of songs which keeps a good beat while racing. The game itself has ome new additions like customising your car, NOS, new cars like RX7 , Skyline and the Supra. Also with online where you can face players on the PC and on the PS2. Also with some new races like Drift and Drag. The gameplay is fine with NOS to give you a boost but the gameplay is too repetative. The races are all the same tracks just the difference of it going tht other way and the game only gets a bit more challenging. The game had also got rid of many NFS lovables like the cops(No pursuit mode!!) and all those nice shiny European cars and replacing them with rotten out Civics and Neons.(You have to first unlock the Skyline and good cars like that to drive it.) TAKE IT TO THE DUMP!!! EA did a big mistake with getting rid of Pursuit Mode, in my opinion it was one of the best parts of the NFS seris. While newcomers to racing games may not find anything wrong with Underground, vets from will find the biggest thing that EA got rid of, The Need For Speed spirt.
