First great WWII game

The first great World War II game was fantastic on the PC. The biggest gameplay innovation was the new Aim Down the Sight system that allows players to accurate target enemies using the gun's integrating sights. A classic.

Holy Crap, Man.

How many WWII FPS titles have been made? Like.. a lot I guess. But this one, this tops them all. Call of Duty is the best WWII FPS game out there, one the of the FPS all time best, at that. It's extremely intense, heart-pounding action. But to counter the adrenalin pumping gameplay, the game is relatively short. I beat the game in about 6 hours of marathon play on normal difficulty (including load times). Even thought the game is short, playing it again is just as satisfying. (Its very convenient to go back and load anypart of a level because of the very frequent save points) The game is divided up into three campaigns; the American, British, and Russians (my favorite). The American campaign is very similer to the Band of Brothers series (like Brecourt). The British is some-what like the movie The Longest Day. And the Russian missions top it off with some of the most intense levels in any game, more likely causing you to continually load your last checkpoint. Unlike other WWII FPS, or other FPS for that matter, you are accompanied by a squad, either from 2-18 men. Which leads me to point out the AI of the game. Un-freakin'-bul-evable. At some levels of the game, you can sit back and let your squad mates do all the work. But at other levels, the enemy will spread out and look for you and take you out. You can run, but you can't hide! The multiplayer is another great reason to have this game. If you think the Single player is crazy, imagine a 10 vs 10, 15 vs. 15, or even 32 vs 32 games. Or up to 64 player death match games. Talk about frag heaven. And the maps are huge, large enough to have little skirmishes with 3 or 4 enemies with your own guys, but too large, like taking 2 minutes to cross a map (well there is one like that). This game has been out for about 4 years now. If you don't own it, go out and buy it for $20 (some places have 'em for about $14). It doesn't take much to run this game, so don't worry like "bUt i haVe a sLoW CoMPuTeR!" Shut up and buy this game.

Going to stop the Nazi War Machine...while having fun!

This is the funnest multiplayer WW2 game ever.I haven't even played single player yet. The multiplayer is just so darn fun. This game definitely deserves a 5.0.

Best WW2 game i have ever played.

Call of Duty is hands down is the best WW2 game i have ever played. The single player missions are extreamly fun, and it is challenging. You play as an Russian, British, and American soliders. The plot of the game is the same as all WW2 games, but what seperates this game from others is the graphics, and fun. Words cannot begin to describe the fun i had with this game. If you do not own this game, then make sure that it is the next game you buy.

Best WW2 game ever!!

This is the game that actually got me started on FPS's. It's just plain awesome. The graphics are realistic, the sound quality is amazing, the battles are real and authentic, and it's a lot easier to play with a keyboard then you'd think. Also, on the PC version you can host a battle royale online with up to 32 players on one battlefield. The game does have some replay value(like shooting Nazis ever gets old). I love the feeling of sniping of unaware Nazis, or blowing them to bits with your trusty Thompson.
