World of Warcraft - PC

Pros Cons
  Not enough content
Not a good game for new players

At one time, WoW may have been a decent game but anymore it's terrible for new players. At low levels, expect lots of crap from high levels for no reason like /spit. Mid level, gold and character farmers look at players as an open source to scam through ninja and more obvious schemes. The game ends when you reach 80 and find that the runs you need to do to gear up are either not run or require gear you don't have access to unless you've already run them. Big Catch-22, and to top it off, Blizzard lets you know that they have many other subscribers so the loss of a few does not concern them. Truly a bad experience throughout for the 3 months I tried to play.

BEST MMO on the market

like I said in the title read the pros and cons and don't get addicted. The game has tons of replay ability. don't give be any bull shit about everquest 1 or 2 I played both of those and they were not compelling and Guild wars is not An MMO

INFERIOR TO EVERQUEST 2!!!!

I just have to get this out because I do not understand how any WoW player would stick with WoW after trying Everquest 2, yes I have played WoW, I don't think it is terrible, it's a decent game, but it is in my opinion no contest compared to Everquest 2. Looking at the 2 games WoW looks much more aimed at younger audiences, and I think that seems the case all around.
Graphics-WoW takes a cartoony approach, silly looking animations, cutesy mounts ( no matter how fierce looking anyone thinks any of them are, I don't see it). WoW also is not nearly as detailed and crisp looking as Everquest 2.
Gameplay- I can see where the very casual player may be attracted to WoW, but the challenge of Everquest 2 is one of it's best points, especially if you are into raiding, and I mean challenging, must know what your doing and pay attention, and set up your raid right.
Classes- Everquest 2 has some classes similar to WoW but the way the abilities and such are set up makes for a much more challenging and involving game.
Anyone who likes WoW owes it to themselves to at least check out the free trial of Everquest 2, which also has a new expansion hitting in a few days. Here's a link to a recent post on the EQ2 forums from a DIE HARD WoW player, who recently played the beta of Everquest 2: The Shadow Odyssey, and has seen the light!

Cheaper than drugs, but just as addictive

Playing this game for the first time is like awakening into a new world. The experience is like few others and the gameplay is a ton of fun if you enjoy RPG games. Sometimes having to run across the entire map to complete a small mission is tedious, but playing with a friend or group makes it all worthwhile.

I think the strongest point on this game is also its most annoying and that is the online gameplay. The entire game (for the most part) is based on playing and interacting with other folks online. This can be extremely fun or extremely painful depending on who your playing with. Regardless, it should not have an impact on the game's ranking (just like playing with noob-tubers on COD4 does not affect that game's score).

For as long as this title has been around and for all the great work they do to keep it competitive and interesting; I think this game is easily one of the greatest all time. I mean can 11+ million users/month be wrong?

As long as they keep adding content this game will last forever. The bgs are amazing and theres always better gear to work for and the grp content all the way up to full raids down to the 2v2 arena
