Game Description

Halo is an FPS where, on the PC version, gamers can challenge one another online competitively or cooperatively for the first time. Halo for Windows supports as many as 16 players online and has a multitude of new multiplayer features. Gamers can use the all-new Rocket Launcher Warthog and flying Banshee in battles for online dominance through 19 multiplayer maps including six all-new maps. In addition to supporting Internet play and local area networks, Microsoft has set aside dedicated servers for Halo to allow hoards of gamers to compete against each other in thrilling, online multiplayer games. These dedicated servers offer gamers a simple way to connect online hassle-free.

Great game on the Xbox, and still great on the PC. The multiplayer is nice, and thats the only reason I bought it. It is great if you download the Halo: Custom Edition off the internet because you can then play modded maps with modded vehicles. It's great.

I liked it A lot better than the Xbox version

Graphics: 4.00 The graphics were good, they are like the Xbox version. Gameplay: 5.00 The gameplay, as always with Halo, is very good. All the levels from the Xbox version, and your choice if you want to play Legendary. Multiplayer: 5.00 The multiplayer is free, no need for a Live subscription. Play online, by direct IP, or LAN server. Replay value: 5.00 You will wanna keep going online over, and over again. Very addictive. Controls: 4.75 The controls are much better than the Xbox version in my opinion. Use W,A,S,D to move. Tab to swich weapons. Q to throw a grenade. R to reload, and F to hit with gun. Overall: 4.75 A VERY enjoyable game. I enjoyed the Xbox version, but this is much better. Also, I recommend you have a pretty fast video card for this game.

For Halo, I would give the graphics a 4.5. I really think the graphics had inspired Halo 2 and 3. The story of halo had a hard impact. I would give a 5.0. The best part of Halo's story is that it is fast paced and it flows. The game doesn't lag, just like the Xbox version. The best part about halo is the multiplayer. The multiplayer has always been the best part about halo. Multiplayer gets a 5.0. For the mechanics or controls, I personally appeal to the Xbox version more. The keyboard makes me stretch my fingers.

Halo:Combat Evolved is the game that started off the series that a ton of people love to play. This game has everything that you can possibly think of. It has the graphics, it has the awsome sound effects, it has easy to remember and use controls, and it has the awsomely fun multiplayer. The multiplayer is a crucial componet of this game. The online maps and games are top notch, and it runs extremely smooth for me and i'm on dial-up. One complant i have about the game is that sometimes freezes up on me when i am playing single player. Other than that, i have no complaints about this game. Overall, this game is truly amazing. If you are in the market for a good PC with amazing multiplayer, look no farther than this game.
