Amazingly Innovative and Compelling Game
Though EA allowed the game to die, I couldn't help but write something in its memory. Earth and Beyond was my first mmorpg, and still my favorite, even over World of Warcraft. The gameplay was incredibly original and the story was gripping and made you feel humbled in your environment. The universe of EnB was massive and full of mystery. You never knew what you might find in a lonely portion of space if you kicked your warp drive in and didn't plot a course! Combat was fun, and the story participation was surprisingly strong. The player-enabled article writing via the Net 7 news agency was pretty fun too. The player economy was strong and robust; many tradesmen had reputations for their abilities to make rare weapons and shielding, etc... which is something I never found in WoW. EnB's crafting proved to be rather lucrative and enjoyable. Analyzing a new device or weapon for the first time was surprisingly fun. The game's storyline was perhaps the most powerful of any part of the game. Humanity had been split into 3 races, though all are still completely human. After wars over an ancient gate technology found far away in our solar system, things cooled and technology progressed. When the players enter the game, an alien race begins roaming and exploring human controlled areas of space and eventually become hostile over these gates which we share a profound destiny with. Go to EBportal.com for the full story document. Anyway, it was an amazing game and needs to be revisited.

Earth and Beyond GP gives it high fun factor rating. Users say NO
Earth and Beyon- Earth and Beyond is a ok game after you look past the Flashly Intro the Great Grphics and Sound but it lacks gamepay. Ypu have no major impact on the story or on any on the bots. All you do is do snmiple missions explore trade or fight but thats it on the box its says "Explore uncharted areas,Trade and mmake as much Credits as you cab, Fight blah blah blah...Well its fun at frist but then gamplay just gets boring. If you check on ebay people are sellig there accounts like crazy becuase they are so board. The sound is Great. Graphics only a few glitches. But the strange thing is that the GP reviewers gave it high marking in fun factor. Aprently they only played the game for the frist 3 days of fun after that it just dies...

Stay on earth the ride to beyond is dull
well the colors chosen for this game is great. well let me see.. how does traveling to and from destination points by hitting one button sound? easy? ohh yeah simple and let me tell you after 20 mins of space travel you will be saying BORING. but wait it gets worse when you decide to attack something its as simple as hitting your (A) key or whatever and letting your ship shoot straight colored lines at its target displaying a cartoonish number of damage then whatever hits you so on and so on.. yay well you can allways sell good to stations.. well the space stations look so cookie cutter you will swear you where just there.. your charecters look ok but there is no real charecter involvement other than tradeing.. YAY there is no real sinse of acomplishment honestly you will be much better doing your laundry cause this game is Beyond fun, its no fun has no purpose and i stopped my subscription ($12.99) a month (LOL hahaha i cant belive they actually charge for this trash) anyways stopped my free 30 day subsciption after 14 days.. do yourself a favor and save your money till galaxies comes out or a nother space based MMORPG comes out. this game is probably the worst game i have played in 2 or 3 years.
