Dungeon Siege - PC

Dungeon Crawling Goodness

An almost non-existant story line and alot of action drive Dungeon Siege to the top of RPG fans' lists everywhere. But don't expect anything really groundbreaking in return for your $50 dollar purchase. First you create a male or female character and start the game. When a group of stupid grunts destroy your homeland, you set off to find out what the heck is going on. But basically your just running from point A to point B. But the story isn't the driving force in this game. It's the amount of customization and non-stop action that gives this game the edge. Fighting consists of just getting your guys to see the enemy, then they take care of it for you. Although this relieves some of the finger fatigue from Diablo, it still takes that personal touch from spell casting, as switching between spells will slow down the action or leave you franticly muddling around in your spell book. But watching the battles play out is great fun. You don't level up in this game either. You gain melee or ranged skills by using swords or bows. You also gain strength in the same way. This allows your characters to grow in the way that you use them. But, are the graphics good you say? Oh yes. Dungeon Siege doesn't disapoint in this department. Every environment is striking in detail and variety. Trees sway, water flows, all that good stuff is done in a high calibur fashion. The game basically keeps you hooked by making you want to see that next area. The game also features a uniqe and practical engine. There was some slowdown during heated battles, but you will never have to see a loading screen when in transition from on local to the other. A rather welcome sight to anyone who has loading screen fatigue. The game also features a rather robust online option. In fact, that world is about twice as big as the single player realm, giving the game excellent replay value for months, or maybe years to come. Although Dungeon Siege isn't exactly ground breaking, it still is a great treat to play.

Great RPG

At first i was kind leary about this game. All the reviews i read about this game was good. So i decided i would go buy and tell u wont im not disappointed one bit. I like diablo but this game is much better and the graphics are great. I got this game for 20 bucks and it was well worth it. I just started and i know i still have tons of gaming to do buts it will be well worth it. This game is a must buy for anyone one likes action rpg's.

A different kind of Diablo.

I am currently 26 hours into gameplay and I'm still loving it. This game is awesome. It is better than Diablo. How you ask. Well for one graphics. The worlds look awesome if you are running on a Radeon 9700 pro like I am. Also whatever armor your wearing directly affects your appearence. Unlike the Diablos where only certain armors did that. Also the variety of weapons. Crossbows are awesome. When your weapon has something special about it, like it does 2-4 extra damage or has fire damage for instance, it will glow with brillant colors. In my current 26 hours of play I have mearly scratched the surface of this game. The games life span lasts 100+ hours of gameplay. That's one big ass game if you ask me. Also, this game works on a party-based system. You can have up to eight people/packmules at a time. Yes, that's right packmules. They can carry tons of loot and are always good to have. The only complaint about this game is it's "flimsy" storyline. The game has a pretty weak background but is still worth your money. $30 for 100+ glorious hours of gameplay. That's pretty damn good deal if you ask me.

Dungeon Siege - PC

Great FN game

I bought this game like 20 mintues after I saw a interview with the creator (chris taylor). It's a great game, graphics are perfect on my computer I saw another guy say the graphics suck. If said the graphics suck for this game he must like only one game since graphics don't get any better than this. I only have 2 issues with this game. The camera contol get's annoying when your in canyons and stuff and the second thing is Easy to Easy, ard to Hard
