The only original shotter out there, next to wolfenstein.
Go out and buy this right now. I don't care what you say. Go do it. This is the BEST game out there. This game made FPS a genre. The story is awesome! Hell on Mars, and you have to save everyone. The bad thing is the controls aren't great. If you get this, I recommend you get a joystick, it really helps with gameplay.

Vintage comes back
I was checking my computer yesterday and found this old game sitting on the hard drive. I don't know how it got there, but I played it anyway. Bottom line: Doom is the best old first person shooter out there, but unfrotunately it gets old after a few rounds, because there aren't that many levels. The best part about it is being on a hard level where there're tons of monsters in one spot, then watching the bloody bodies pile up as you mow em' down with a chain gun or some such wicked weapon. If you haven't played this game yet, don't go hunting the internet for a place to buy it from, but at least check with a friend to see if they have a copy for your computer.

Poor graphics, unfair puzzles... pure genius throughout!
Yes the graphics are horrible by today's standard, but that doesn't drag this game's fun level down. The puzzles and secrets littered throughout are unbelievably fun to solve... until they get frustrating, anyway. Sometimes you'll have to hit this switch, run across this very narrow catwalk, up these stairs, and through a temporarily opened door. At this point it might take hours to finally complete and by then you might have lost interest in the game, unfortunately. But if you stick through the very few unfun moments you'll experience horror and multiple adrenaline rushes as you flee from countless demons, scramble to pick up the sparce medical supplies, and blast away at the horrors from Hell that plague Deimos and Phobos. The demon designs are obviously inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and the demons in action are lovable scamps with rocket launchers, fireballs, and very, very sharp teeth. Some levels in this game are very simple and straightforward while some are extremely complex. I've been playing this game for about 10 years and still don't know everything that there is to know about it! Always think before you do anything because you might get yourself killed, which'll force you to restart the level with nothing but a pistol with a mere 50 bullets! When you're dealing with a level that includes hordes upon hordes of imps, bull demons, and whatever else the pits of Hell have to throw at you, this is something you DO NOT WANT. So proceed with caution, especially when given the chance to get a blue sphere or a key card. In conclusion, this game I've been obsessing about since I was 5 or 6 is truly a classic and truly one of the best games that you can find anywhere in the world. But it now... buy it. Stop reading... just stop reading. Good. Now go buy it!
