Baldur's Gate - PC

I love this game, and I'm depressed that BioWare is stopping with T.O.B.

I unlike ShaneH bought this game in 1998 and it brought me into UO and Everquest but its plot is fantastic and it's definantly a must have. Although normal AD&D'rs may be disapointed with it's limits, they are understandible and by no means should stop anyone from buying this game. I followed BioWare from BG1 to T.O.B. and although I wish the plot was as intriguing in the expansions as in BG1 and 2 its a great adventure and if you've got time to burn this game can take you literally months if you're willing to do everything available and beleive me, you will. It's not a one timer and I still love the game even without the 2002 graphics.

Baldur's Gate - PC

Great RPG

I agree with spark2007, this game has a good storyline, great controls and some serious fun. But the graphics are a bit outdated, but I shouldn't say that because I bought it in 2002, and not in 1998 like I should have. I like this game, and with the expansion Tales of the Sword Coast, for only $21 it a good buy.

Interplay's Black Isle role-playing studio has its heart in the right place, and that heart is showing up in some fine RPGs these days. Hot on the heels of the fantastic Fallout 2, Baldur's Gate delivers an epic fantasy set in the Forgotten Realms of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons universe. It's a tribute to the devotion and creativity of the game's designers that Baldur's Gate works beautifully as both a treat for AD&D devotees and as a broadly appealing RPG for everyone else.
