Summary

Game Description

Freedom fighters by EA Games for GameCube is a third-person action-adventure game set in the grim reality of an alternate history. As the hero, you take the role of a mild mannered, blue-collar worker who finds himself hurled into the position of a fearless freedom fighter as he battles an invading Soviet Red Army on the besieged streets of New York City. Freedom: The game provides two layers of gameplay -- a strategic turn-based mode centering around base operations in the underground sewer and an action mode that unfolds in the streets where fierce battles are won or lost and resources are captured. You experience intense urban guerrilla warfare scenarios ranging from small sabotage missions to large battles where you must conquer enemy installations.

Very Underrated

This shooter is one of the best out there. It is so fun to just sit down with a buddy and try to steal other peopless bases without. Yes it's short in the single player but if you forget about that the single player can be a great time for anyone in the family.

Absolutely Great

In Freedom Fighters, you take the role of a New York plumber who, after the Soviets won the Cold War and invaded the United States, must fight of the evil communists attacking his homeland. With its great graphics, simple controls, and strategic utilization of squad based warfare, the only thing this game leaves you wanting more of is levels. The game's sound is also a tad bit empty, but overall, Freedom Fighters is a great game that will leave you wanting more.

good third person shooter.

lets jump right in to the controls for the game. the controls(3.5) really bug me. the camera angles are very messed up and it's a pain to move the "C" stick every time you move your guy, and it get's confusing at times. it has good action sounds(4.5), the explosions, the gun shots and stuff like that sounds really good, but it's not perfect. the graphics(4.0), i've seen better graphics for a third person shooter, but there decent. now to the game itself. the game has a good story mode and all, but the missions get boring after a while. it's pretty much the same thing, you walk around with your gun, hide behind something, and when the coast is clear you run out and shoot them, and it is really easy to kill the people, you shoot them like 2 or 3 times and there dead. In conclusion, the game is good for a third person shooter, and i'd recomend renting it first and if you like it go out and buy it. i on the other hand will not buy this game, cuz i feel it won't take me all that long to beat. and by the way, the multiplayer is pretty good to.

This is a great game for multiplayer. the one player mode i dont really bad. ithe multiplayer is too great though. this game could get game of the year.
