Fun!
Wario finally gets a major game of his own, other than the offbeat Wario Ware titles. After playing the other "Mario family" games on Gamecube, I was eager to try this one out. And I was pleasantly surprised. Wario World is basically a platformer with many Mario-like features, and it does this well. It has many fun platforming aspects, with fun and bizarre levels and quirky bosses. But Wario World hs two elements that set it apart. The first is the fighting system. You find yourself smashing through swarms of enemies with Wario's superhuman strength, racking up combos and pulling off special moves. It is frantic but handled well. The second is treasure. Oh, glorious gold is what Wario seeks. Greedy pig! Throughout the levels you find yourself collecting artifacts, gold statues and gems. It gives the game a little more depth than it would have had. I only have one complaint about this game. It is a little too short. The level are not very long, and the entire game won't take too much time. But other than that, this is a great game. If you own a Gamecube, pick it up!

Easy to pass up if you're not a super niche fan
I looked forward to this game arriving from GameFly but let it sit for 2 months before playing. Two days after popping it in the GameCube it was on its way back. I love Mario games and many of the cool little niche games exclusive to the GameCube but this one just didnt do it for me. It looks beautiful and the gameplay is simple enough but what really turned me off was the static camera. I can't stand not being able to take in the entire environment. The fighting was simple enough but the monsters constantly respawned as you left the are and immediately returned. I love a challenge but this was just annoying. I won't try to dissuade people who love this kind of game because I am sure you think it is just great... but for those just picking it up for rental or whatever, I say skip it and go with another niche Nintendo title.

Gimme the loot
Why? Because I said so. Wario World, Luigi's Mansion, and Super Mario Sunshine. I want a Waluigi game.

This game rocks...
This game has awsome grraphics and is very annoying when my friend lies to the computer with giraffs kissing her tummy and licking her socks.
