Summary
Game Description
Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike by LucasArts for the GameCube is the follow up to 2001's Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader. Rebel Strike features movie-like visuals, immersing players into an intense action-arcade experience. Players are drawn into the classic Star Wars Trilogy through more than 13 action-packed missions that encompass branching paths in flight combat, and ground-based character or vehicle conflict. Players can fly a combat mission over the dense forest landscape of Yavin 4 before landing to engage Imperial Stormtroopers in ground battle; upon defeating the enemy, players then return to an X-wing and take flight against TIE fighters.

Good release title
Better than average game. I would recommend the game to anyone that like these types of games. No real changes but new maps. Maybe not the best installment of the game but still fun.

Don't Force this one
Comparing this game and its predecessor is difficult. Playing Rogue Squadron II and then this, it's sometimes hard to determine which is better. The controls for this game are much looser and can be difficult to get a hold of, especially coming from a session of RSII, but other than that, the game is as smooth and fun as the other. The one problem is the ground-based missions. They feel out of place in this series and are considerably more difficult than flight missions, especially the missions that take place on foot. But that is a minor complaint. This game is still fun. As much fun as its predecessor? Probably not, but still worth your time. Besides, with this one, you can choose to play Rogue Squadron II with a friend...albeit with harder enemies that will frustrate all but the most experienced pilots.

o so dissapointing
wow. i thought this game would be so awesome.first of all, walking missions are too easy and are boring. the co-op (although a good idea) only lets you play it in the 2nd rogue squadron. the flying missions, although fun, are getting very old. on the good side the multiplayer races through the forest are extremely fun and challanging. the dogfights are fun but are only 2 player. it is an okay game but everything in it has an "its ok, but its....."

Much Closer to the Galaxy Far Far Away
If you think Rogue Leader was the greatest Star Wars game ever, you are dead wrong. Rebel Strike has better graphics, the entire Rogue Leader game in co-op and the best new feature of all is ground combat. This is definitely the most complete Star Wars game around. The game has everything Rogue Leader didn't making it much more than a perfect game. Gamepro needs to give this game a score of 5.0 in all four catagories. It totally deserves it and it isn't even out on the market yet. A game that I know surely will be on every Gamecube owner's wishlist. The game is to frigin awesome!!! It looks like Factor 5 and Nintendo have another winner on their hands. Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike, need I say more?
