The Simpsons Road Rage - GameCube

Great party game - lots of fun!

First off, if you're going to compare apples to oranges [Crazy Taxi to Simpson's Road Rage], you're already starting off on the wrong foot. Taking it as-it-is and at face value, this game is loads of fun w/great hilarity, and the competitive nature of it keeps you interested for long periods of time. The controls are solid, the music is terrific, the voices are dead-on [98% of the time] and hilarious, like when you're driving as Homer and catch some air; when he lands, he lets loose with an "OW! My A**!" You and a buddy [or more] can while-away a great deal of time with this one. The replay value is very high, as it's challenging to complete the tasks that unlock additional vehicles such as Mr Plow. Since it's a PS2 port, the graphics aren't as polished as they could be and the game then has inherentley painful load times which is a no-no from Nintendo for any original 1st & 3rd party GC games. Too bad they didn't make it for the GC first and then port it to the PS2. If it weren't for the load times, I'd give it a 5.0 Fun Factor. Even if you replay a course you're already on, it reloads that level [what the?!?!?!].

I'm angry!

Why? Becasue I said so! Why does such a good base source always make such bad games. Except the arcade Simpson games.
