Survival Horror? It's a horror not to play!

The Resident evil remake is a REALLY great game. Needless to say, it is a remake of the classic resident evil for the PSX, but it has a lot of changes and innovations up its sleeve. Never has the Spencer mansion been this creepy before, and the fact that this game has terrific graphics and almost photo-realistic pre-rendered environments just add to the atmosphere. Oh yeah, the atmosphere is perfect. The soundtrack is creepy, the zombies are as brain dead as ever, the story has a few more additions to it(the puzzles as well), and the overall game is one that will scare you for a good while. It proved that the gamecube could indeed deliver in the graphics department, and oh, is it a remake to own.

RE

This game was a lot of fun to play...it was nice to revisit the good ol' days of when this awesome series began. The game was redone which was pretty sweet...it was as if i was playing this game for the first time again. Its a good buy for all RE fans.

Resident Evil

After I got a Wii, I quicklky beat all of my Wii titles and went out and picked up several gamecube games for it. One of which was the Resident Evil remake. It had been years since I have played the classic Resident Evil, and after playing this gem, I know what made me fall in love with the Resident Evil franchise. The biggest upgrade of course is of course the graphics. To say there amazing is a huge understatement. It's comparable to many PS3 and 360 graphics and the only that keeps the graphics from being perfect is the brulry shadows. But there's more to the game then the graphics of course. The controls are the typical tank contols altough they do have some unique control options that let you experience the game in multiple ways. The game is also long, w/ tons of unique puzzles, multiple enviorments to work your way through and once you get started, it will be hard to put the controller down. The games cutscenes are also well done and a vast improvement over the original live action ones. If your a fan of the Resident Evil franchise, or new to the series, I highly recomend this wonderful game.

Resident Evil - GameCube

Resident Evil - GameCube

not for everyone

well If you like the shit scared out of you then by all means get this game. that is pretty much the only good quality. the controls suck, the combat sucks along with it. It is a good game. because the graphics and things are good. I bought this game thinking It would be a shooter. Wrong its a game kind of like this: go in a room, get a key, leave the room take down a painting, then unlock a box behind the painting to get another key, then you put the key in a door to get a gem, and so on. so if you like puzzles that are almost impossible, then by all means, get this game. a 3... out of 5
