Wolfenstein 3D - GBA

The original WWII shooter

This was how id got its start. With Wolfenstein and Doom after it, they burst onto the video game scene in a flash of pixelated gore. The two games became legends. Now that they've been put onto the handheld scene, some may be wondering whether or not they shouldn't have stayed on the PC. This game is practically a crash course in frustration. On the easy levels at the easy difficulties, this game is passable - if the level design doesn't drive you crazy (no maps, unlike Doom). The later you get, the harder it gets, until this game isn't worth picking up. Besides, the GBA has gotten several games that are better looking and better sounding than this. Obviously, this was a no-time-to-make port, but you would think they could have done a better job with this one.

It isn?t the best shooter for the GBA, but Wolfenstein is certainly worth a play for gamers who want to reminisce.
