Street Fighter Alpha 3 - GBA

48 fighters in a portable console, only Capcom could do this

This is the biggest and brightest fighting game for your Gameboy Advance and yet another reason why Capcom can count to "3". The game features a grand total of 48 fighters, 7 different modes of play, 3 fighting styles and 4 fight modifications to further modify your game. The usual Capcom state-of-the-art graphics, seamless animation and signature gameplay are also in this game. However, it is not very good sound-wise, since all the characters share voices, and it is not good to even play it with sound at all. There are only 10 backgrounds to fight in. Three all-new fighters, Maki, Yun and Eagle all with their Capcom Vs. SNK 2 counterparts and moves. There is stuff to unlock, but it can drive people crazy and all! But... Anyway if you didn't like Super Turbo Revival because it was infested with glitches, get this game. It doesn't disappoint!

Great but should have been something else

This is a great game but...Capcom really should have picked something else to port because there's not enough buttons and it's reallt hard to pick a character because you can barely see their name but other than that GREAT

Great fighting game for the GBA

Only problem is the beefed up AI. What moron decided to make SFA3 for the GBA super difficult. Don't even THINK about beating Boss Mode. Just use the codes in that one issue of Gamepro. Great gameplay in arcade mode, though. And it's a blast against someone else. Go for it.

This Is The Real Deal

After hearing about all the hype about this game, it has finally presented itself. I am a big Street Fighter fan so naturally I purchased it on the first day it came out. Instantly I saw that this game looked nice. The graphics show the true beauty of the GBA. Every character from the original SFA 3 game for the Playstation is here; as well as some new characters never seen in a SFA series before. The character endings are whack and the AI can be cheap (of course), but playing it is a dream. The music is pretty good and the sound effects are excellent. You'll get accustomed to the controls once you play it for a while. The only thing that is missing from this game is a few voice samples such as Ryu's voice during his hurricane kick and the World Circuit Mode. All in all, this is a really nice recreation of this classic fighting game on the GBA.

Capcom Should'nt Have Ported This

Street Fighter Alpha 3 was a bad idea to port over to GBA. Even though it ported nicely graphics wise, that's all you get, are good graphics. The control is horrible on GBA. The game doesn't seem to respond as well as it should on GBA. For me, it was really hard to pull off a Shoryuken or even the famed Hadoken. After a while, my fingers started getting tired because I kept trying to pull off the same move three times. The sound is also a bad issue for me. I think if the annoucer for the game was the most coolest thing in the sound category. I liked this game on Dreamcast, but not on GBA as much.
