Enter the Dragon...Sword

If you consider yourself the least bit old-school, you will have fond memories of Ryu Hayabusa slicing and dicing everything in his path for the better part of two decades, with only a brief rest to unwind before doing it all over again. The DS entry in the "Legend of Ryu" series is more in line with the newer Xbox titles rather than a throwback to the glory days of the NES. As such, you are a deadly ninja in a 3D (on DS!!!) world, armed with a slew of ultra-cool ninja slashes and magic. The game's real hook is that the action is entirely stylus-controlled, no small feat for a game that moves this fast. The controls are amazing, but there is a learning curve associated with stylus-driven action, and sometimes your inputs will not be registered correctly; all things considered, though, Team Ninja's ambition pays off in spades, as it is a joy to control our Master Ninja hero through his travails against the Spider Clan and denizens of the netherworld. The visuals are superb, though Team Ninja plays some neat tricks by having 3D characters roam through pre-rendered environments. Audio is crystal-clear and worth turning up your DS's volume to hear. The story is well-done, with the comic book effect giving Dragon Sword its own identity in the pantheon of Ninja Gaiden games. If you crave action on your DS, and yearn secretly to be a ninja of the caliber of Mr. Hayabusa, then this is most certainly your game.

go ninja go ninja go

from what i've heard, Ninja Gaiden 2 is total pants. fortunately, there was a Gaiden game released this year that managed to exceed expectations. Ninja Gaiden DS looks great for a handheld game, and the controls make perfect use of the portable's unique features. It's a shame Itagaki's gone, since I could use another chapter (or eight) of Ryu's portable adventures.

Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword - DS

the king of ninja games has come home!!

this game takes place 6 months after the original Ninja Gaiden thing have finally started to settle down until your best childhood friend Momiji is kidnapped and her life is at stake. You start playing as the young ninja until she gets kidnapped by the black spider clan, and here is the twist she the dragon sword jewel or something like that and she might just die if you do not save her. Most of your time WILL BE WASTED ON upgrading health and your sword, while also buying ninja art's called Ninpachi, the more you upgrade and buy ninpachi the better chance you have to survive two of these you have to get on your own. All & all this is a VERY GOOD GAME and here is my score!

A new Fave

This game is Close to one of my favorite Hanheld games. The controls are great, one of the best just like Zelda for the DS. The Graphics are clean for the DS. The gameplay is great for the controls and the story is good as well as you collect orbs and try to rescue the highness. The replay value seems good but after finishing the game you unlock the hard diffucult which is very hard. This game is great I recomend it to all with DS's.
