Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (PSP)
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is the latest installment in the exciting and ever-expanding Star Wars mythos. The Force Unleashed offers an interesting take on traditional Star Wars storytelling by pitting the player in the Empire's Dark Times, where the sinister Emperor Palpatine orders the sinister Sith to rid the universe of all the Jedi.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is an incredibly original and rich experience, and may be the best handheld Star Wars game to date! -
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
The basic premise of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is a stroke of brilliance: in the years between Episodes III and IV, Darth Vader takes a secret apprentice and puts him to work mopping up the few remaining Jedi. Finally we can dispense with all the self-righteous moralizing and embrace the awesome power of the dark side, right? Sort of.

Editor's Note: We looked at both versions of Force Unleashed and found no discernible differences between the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, so the review stands for both platforms. You can find the review of the PS3 version here.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Killer force powers and intense action can't fully save an otherwise inconsistent effort. Still, it has its moments. -

It puts the leashed in unleashed
When I bought this game I thought it was going to be exciting, boy was I wrong. I will admit it's addictive, but only to see how much more pathetic it can get. All the costumes are so bland and you don't notice the lightsaber color all that much. The whole point in The Force Unleashed is to use over the top force powers, but in this game they're such a waste of time. I will admit the visuals of the force powers are okay but they pretty much all do the same effect and damage, it's so much easier to do the whole game by using the lightsaber. The combo system is alright but since the force powers suck there is no point in using it. You won't get much enjoyment out of this game because all the contents on this game are horrible and because its such a easy game, you can beat the game without upgrading at all.
