Tetris DS

I have to agree with Gamepro that this game is full of add ons and fun extras that really push this over the edge of being more than a normal game. The only problem that I have with it is that the extra fun, like mario going through the levels at the top, is distracting and I find myself missing lines because I wanted to see what Mario was doing at the top of the screen. Also, I've found that there are no noobs like me out on the onliine world. Some people, looking at me with 0 wins basically disconnect when they see me come up. I want to play normal people online that lose every once and a while and aren't super fast. But I guess I can learn offline a bit more. I can't even beat the computer in 2 player at level 3. Other than that, the Graphics are just right, because Tetris never needed the greatest graphics, it is solid gameplay and quick thinking puzzle action. The extra modes make things fun as well. There is a level that you can have a centered brick that is rotatable slowly going up a column from Metroid (2) and you have to catch the falling blocks as you ascend. You even have an energy bar and have to avoid hitting the little baddies slowly coming down. I've been playing this one for weeks now, and it is still exciting and engaging. Now, if they had a way to put noobs with noobs online, I would have given it a 5.0!

Not your dads Tetris

Ah good times are definitly to be had with this game. There are many variations of Tetris you can play. Playing the normal mode yields cool nintendo backgrounds and music. Tetris is cool by itself. In this version you get to watch games progress in the background. This is really a cool throwback to the classics. Icluded are various Mario stages and even Zelda stages. The game seems almost too easy at first. This is because of the ghost pieces and the ample time to rotate a piece even after it touchs down. This game also has mission and push modes for the multiplayer. There are even more game modes for single player enjoyment. The ability to play with 10 people on one cart is quite pleasing. They even through items in multiplayer that are remeniscant of mario kart power ups. Without going into details I'm going to say this game is a must buy. You can download the game from Nintendo's soon to arrive download stations. Check it out and you'll have a hard time not buying this sure fire cartidge of goodness.
