Not a good DS game

Resident Evil has aged badly and just doesn't work on the DS. Play Resident Evil 4 on the Wii or PS2 instead...or Dementium: The Ward for a decent DS horror game.

Resident Evil mini

As a huge fan of Resident Evil, I had to pick up this little gem when I first purchased my DS. I loved the Resident Evil remake for the Gamecube but until recently, I had never played the original Playstation Resident Evil. So I felt that this would be a great chance to take part in gaming history by playing the first game that kick started a genre. The game comes with a lower-res port of the PS1 version of the game, but it still looks decent considering that it's a DS title. You have the option of playing the game exactly like it was on the playstation or you have the ability to use the touchscreen of the DS for special functions in the Rebirth mode. Numerous task are taken of care of throught the touchscreen such as solving puzzles and attacking your enimies via a first person knife combat mode. Oh, you can also touch the characters in the no-no areas to get a reaction lol. (not that I would ever participate in such behaviour:) The game is great but you can see how it's aged quite a bit. Controls can feel cramped and sloppy and the multiplayer, while interesting, feels a bit tack on. Overall, if your a hardcore Resident Evil fan or just looking for a game that strays away from the typical DS formula, then RE: Deadly Silence is a great choice. To everyone else though, stick w/ Mario Kart :D

Resident Evil Deadly Silence

This game is identical to the original resident evil, but with a few new features. The game takes you back to the old days when it all started in the mansion, where you must ga=et out alive with either chris or jill. The game has 2 new modesto play for the story, rebirth or classic. classic is the same as the original on the playstation. Rebirth mode has new ds features, like with the knife, when you go through certain doors, it will go to a first person mode and you use the stylus to cut the zombies. all in all the game is fun if you are in the classic games, but if want something new save your money and buy a newer resident evil
