Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits - DS

Wow, this game is SUPAH-FUN!

Let me get this straight, DO NOT judge a game by it's screens. The point of this game is simple, at times. There's Time Attack, which has block-type-puzzles. There's Pressure mode, which is somwhat like a boss fight between you, and a big-monster-drillbot. You have to get little red capsules to charge up his fire-ball, and shoot at the flower that's open on the bot's body, all while you play the game like normal. Each block space you go is a mile, and you save up as many miles as you can, and use them to buy special items. Gameplay 5.0: Just plain fun. Awesomely addicting fun. It's easy to understand, but not easy to beat. You have to drill your way to the bottom of the pile. Not as easy as it sounds. You can be flattened by other blocks. Also, you need to keep an eye on your oxygen level. Sound 4.5: Great music, and sound effects. There's voice overs, but they're not really good. If your computer can read stuff (like, vocally), have it read this, and imagine that's kind of how the characters talk. Graphics 5.0: Sure it's 2D, but there's some 3D elements. They're still good, of course, graphics aren't what makes a game good. Control 5.0: Could it be any easier? L/R/Select=Nothing, A/B/ Y=Drill, X=shoot fire balls (Pressure mode). You can use the touch sceen. You move the stylus in the direction you want, and tap the direction of the block you want to drill. I don't see why Four-Eyed-Dragon gave this a 3.5. It's one of the funnest puzzlers I've played (and trust me, I've played quite a few). It kind of reminds me of Tetris Attack in some ways. "CHEERS NAMCO!!!" *clank*
