Codemasters on the Hunt for PSP, PS3, and Xbox Developers

Solid profits enable publisher to support promising developers.

Codemasters has announced that its "strong level of profitability" has enabled them to invest and support promising developers to produce new games, specifically for the PSP, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 2 and PC. The move serves as a call to developers who are displeased with their current publishing situations - which is common these days with publishers actively "consolidating" their lineup, and in the process weeding out titles that they feel wouldn't be top sellers.

Nick Wheelwright, Managing Director at Codemasters beckoned to all disgruntled developers to join forces, saying, "I would be delighted to hear from game developers with unsigned titles and those who are not satisfied with their current publishing arrangements."

The call is primarily directed toward North American and European developers, not focusing on the Asian market. "We are continuously looking for great games and have achieved top chart positions with titles published on behalf of our external development companies," continued Wheelwright. "More recently, having fully established our USA operation, we are able to offer full sales, marketing and distribution in both North America as well as PAL territories."

Developers with projects can contact Wheelwright or Gary Rowe, Head of Acquisitions via email or call + 44 (0)1926 816009.
