Cubis 2
Fun. Cubis 2 is a solid little puzzler that is a good investment for any iPod owner. The premise isn't easy to describe, but plays out like a mix of 3D Tetris and Klax. Your game board is filled up with multicolored blocks, and you must eliminate those by sliding in new blocks. Sounds simple enough, no?
But Cubis 2 has a surprising amount of depth for such a simple premise. Some blocks will shatter when struck, enabling you to make long-range tactical strikes to "snipe" other blocks across the playing field. You'll be playing against the clock, trying to wipe out a set number of blocks before moving on to the next puzzle.
As far as hardcore puzzle games go, Cubis 2 is less irritating and less cumbersome. It's a good puzzler for your mom or your little sister, but it's still fun enough for you to enjoy on a plane trip or a bus ride.
It's not complicated, it's not elaborate, and it's not going to rival anything on your Xbox 360, but it is fun. And that's what counts, right?
