Warren Spector and the developers of Deus Ex: Invisible War open up to the press.
At a recent event at the Ion Storm offices in Austin, the developers of Deus Ex: Invisible War took a day out of their immensely busy schedule to talk to the gaming press about how the game is shaping up in the last days of development. While some folks took hands-on time with the game, others headed back to talk to the developers themselves about the progress of the sequel to one of the most critically acclaimed games in recent memory. There?s still a little development time left to go (the game is set to ship in December), but the early build they showed was really beginning to resemble the ambitious vision that Ion Storm had for the game. The various missions, factions, and choices were already in, and the physics and lighting engines were running at full tilt.
With the game so close to being finished, we decided it was time to do more than just ask the developers questions about the game?s innovative features, its blend of role-playing, stealth, and action, or its mind-bogglingly complex conspiracy-based storyline, and get a little more information on the process of making a game like this and just who these guys are who are working on these games.
So that?s pretty much what the following three interviews are about. If you want to find out more about the game, you can read about it here.
