  • Selling Violent Video Games is now a Felony

Post a Reply

In New York...

Now video games are just as bad as tobacco, alcohol, and porn !

The penalty is three to four years jail time with some pretty hefty fines. A V-chip will also be required for newer consoles. Both bills have not been signed yet but they are expected to be by June.

I sit back and watch as you slowly nosedive into oblivion. Happy trails cowboy
But who knows how long it will be until bills similar to this are put into effect in other states.

Smaller towns or cities wont' make a difference. Can you go to a smaller town/ city right now and buy tobacco or alcohol as a minor? Doubt it. Now they have the same consequences, I'm sure all stores will follow the regulations.

THIS IS BS!!!!! i always thought this stuff happens in smaller states but this is beyond belief... Ah well i'm old enough to buy whatever game i want but i remember back when i was about 15 some stiff wouldn't let me buy Mafia because it was rated M and i was only 15 years old. I still actually brought the game (had a lady infront of me buy it with my money and acted like it was a "gift" since in actuality she purchased it at the counter). But this sucks for the younger gamers.. Ah well, those little guys better start doing what i did.
