  • Ok im getting a 360. I need to know a few things....

Ok well after a couple of minutes of enticing, my mom said i could get a 360 ...ill be getting it in a week or so..... I just anted to get some tips from you guys and possibly some gamertags, xboxlive info, recommended games, and ill be posting some questions, id appreciate any help from you guys.

Ill post more as they come to mind...but the first is overheating.

How do i prevent it? and what can I do if it does overheat....info?

like nado said, over heating should(keyword is SHOULD) be resolved by mid april. However i got a fan for mine. I heard as long as you have a fan and keep it off the carpet you should be fine.

As for the heating thing there's this "Nyko Cool" thing you can buy it that goes on it to keep it from overheating. I think it only costs like twenty bucks so it won't put you back too far.

You can buy an intercooler to help with the heating problem..but being realistic as long as you don't crowd the system or block the fan it is usually OK. (Also a new, cooler CPU is coming out sometime soon, depending on how long you are willing to wait). You will probably have to get your 360 replaced if it overheats, which is free, as far as I know.

I recommend getting GoW (of course), Oblivion, Lost Planet, or RS 6: Vegas.

Also buying a Plug N Play charger kit is hepful.

I cant put it on da carpet?....how bout ontop of my cable box? lol. Should I just get a fan and put it in front of the 360?....i dont really want to wait, if I do I might end up getting something else...or beingmore hesitant to buy it. Any more tips? placing tips?

id say hardwood floor or in the entertainment center. By fan i meant that 3rd party companies make fans for the 360(like the intercooler haze talked about)
