i've been looking around for hdtv cause i might as well join the fun sooner or later. I think my best bet might be to go with one a 30" widesreen slim CRT. LG and Samsung both make one and their around $800. an LCD that size with the same amount of connections is about $1200 or more. the westinghouse LCD's have crossed my mind too, but i don't know if i want to go with a smaller brand name. one of my roomies bought a regular polaroid tv and it sucks so much ass. it gets this random black square in the middle of it sometimes and its not the cable box because it did it on the ps2 as well. but anyways, hdtv, any thoughts?

I ordered a 63" 1080p TV today. I've been saving up for that, and it's HDMI ready. If you brought this up erlier, then it would have been a viable offer for me. Thanks anyway.

i know at the sears i work at, one of the cheaper hdtv's we got is a samsung 32 inch CRT tv.

pretty f'ing heavy but at like 700 buxs now for closeout it aint that bad...

i dont' really need a stadium ready monitor. i'm looking for something that would go in a bedroom that supports 720p and possibly 1080i that will make playing an 360 on kickass instead of just kickbutt. so thats why i say about 30".

Costco has some good deals............If you have a membership. I'm looking to buy a bigger HDMI TV.

I think 1080i would be your best bet. Gears of War will be running at 1080i, so you'd have the game at its best then.
