Take This Job and Love It - feedback

This is not a suck up, I know you guys did a "So you wanna work at Gamepro" thing, but I'd like to know more about it. Like what kind of education do you need, is it preferred or just helpful? Well, I mean is college preferred? I also would like to know more about being a game tester. I have loads of free time now, I have two sysytems and I love voicing my opinion.

Anyways, I think you TTJALI thing is great. I love the little Editor's note about reviewers sitting around all day playing games.

Yup, it was great. Actually got to learn something.

Thank you, Mr. DanElektro. The article was very fun to read, I actually read it twice. And the best part about it is, it was only part: 1. Thanks again.

The October and November issues contained a two-part special feature called Take this Job and Love It, about how to get a job in the games industry, with advice straight from working professionals. I'm eager to hear your feedback on both articles because it's something we've wanted to do for a long time, and we've gotten a lot of mail requesting something like it. Now that it's here, I want to know if we did it right or if we should have done something differently, or maybe do more in the future. Fire away.

If you thought it sucked, you gotta tell me why. How long ago was EGM's article? What did it do better? I need some more info here, folks--you gotta give me details or else I can't do better next time.

And please keep in mind that you have only read part 1. Part 2 is coming in the November issue.

Also, I remember one in Next Generation that was pretty good, but I never saw EGM's.

dan can you see about making an inside gp about a day in the life of miss spell? the article was awsome

Gave me a heads up on what I want to do. C++ looks tough, I'm taking a High School Course next year.

I read it. The one that EGM did a long time ago doesnt suck as much. It was a lot more detailed.

The article was helpfull Dan. Do youy have to have a 3.0 GPA to go to Digi Pen?

Give me an email, and I'll email all 160KB of QBasic
