  • At last--user reviews in GamePro!

Post a Reply

Question #1: Should we post here to have you Eds "check out a well-written Review we wrote" So you don't need to shift through... Well Some of the... other stuff that's out there?

Question #2: Can the games be Old (like Final Fantasy Tatics Old) Or are you choosing more "Recent" Game Reviews?

Thanks! Now i REALLY need to stop being lazy! ARG!

It's been one of the biggest requests over the years, and we've finally found a way to make it a reality: Users can now review games and their work will be printed in GamePro magazine.Starting with the August 2004 issue, you'll notice that Head 2 Head, our area for all reader communication, has been expanded to include a user review, poll data, and a prize for letter of the month.

Here's the catch: We are ONLY accepting user review submissions through the User Review program here on GamePro.com. It's here, it works, and we're going to use it! Anything you've already written is eligibie, but as you might expect, we're looking for the best of the best of the best to print in the mag.

We're not printing the reviews that say "this game sux because I played it at a friends hosue and gamecube is for kids N E way." That would embarass us both. So take time to craft something worth reading. If you really have something to say, good or bad, about a game, make your case the best you can. And remember, bigger is not necessarily better; the one we printed in August had to be edited for length.

So good luck and have fun. Just another perk of being a GamePro Hub member.

No need to post here in the thread Titris. We are all looking at the user reviews section and if something stands out, we will pull it from there.

As far as entering a user review, simply go to the user review section and post one up. Remember, the more thought you can put into it and the more professional it sounds, the better the chance of it getting featured on the product page or even appearing in the magazine.

So if you just post a regular User Review, that is pretty much your submission right?

Friends don't let friends buy Vizio.
Wow, I enjoyed posting that review. I feel good. :-D

Sim City 4: Rush Hour [PC]

I went 174 characters over my limit and had to trim. But I did it. First time, first user review of the game.

Cool. Nice to see you guy are trying to incorporate us into the magazine like that. I'm guessing the Featured User Review for the a game will usually be put in their such as Meta's for Double Dash . RIght?

Are you going to put them in there as is or are you going to be fixing grammatical errors?

Just wrote a review for SCPT a few hours earlier. Gah that 2000 character limit is so low, I had to edit mine by over a 1000 characters. That was really hard.
