Even though its still not the end of 09, what do you think was the best movie of this year?

My heart gos to Up, if you didn't cry at the first 10 minutes, you honestly have no soul

Up as the best film of the year? I think not. Not that I have seen it but an animated film should and never will get film of the year.

I didnt cry, but it was very emotional.

I dont remmeber if the Knowing came out in 09 or not, but it was really good, definately not the best tho.

Up is probably my second favorite. It's more of an anytime movie than my next choice

District 9. Oh my gosh, i loved this movie. It was powerful, the effects were amazing. Probably the only thing wrong with it was how forgetful the main characters name was (Wikus Van DeMerwe)

Don't get on your high horse, you'll fall off eventually.

For myself, it would have to be Star Trek, but there were better films out there I have not seen.

You would be extremely suprised, mang. Not only was the art beautiful, the sound was exceptional. The pieces all had the same melody, but would switch from a little rat-tat piece, to a minor and horrifically sad piece, then back to some epic fanfare by the end. Here's a link to most of the little tidbits of songs kinda pasted together into the credits music

Dug was genuinely hilarious, as well as some of the slap-stick humor involved. Kevin was enjoyable to watch, just some crazy little bird, but he's 10 feet tall. And i know about the thing you guys are going to correct me about, i just dont want to ruin it for the people who havent seen it, so be quiet about kevin

Pixar has not had a good film since Toy Story.

I fucking loved it becuase unlike most movies this year, it had characters that are actually lovable and it had thrilling situations, not to mention it detoured into its heart of darkness, but it had the skill to reclaim those moments into jump up and cheer moments
