I feel like I'm the only one here that takes the time to get all the achievements, or go through extra playthroughs to get more achievements.

You people suck.

Not true. I've turned into quite a bit of an achievement/trophy whore.

What is so damn satisfying about the achievements that I feel like I need to get as many as possible?

Vote Captain Falcon for President in the 2012 election. If you fail to comply, he'll do something very horrible to all of us in December.

I have only gone out of my way to get a few. Usually they are ones that are easy.

I like to go after the ones that help me experience the full game experience. I tend not to bother with the online achievements so much unless I really like the game. Fable II achievements were pretty fun.

I don't bother to go after the ridiculous ones. 100 000 kills in Gears 2 would take far too long for me.

I really don't care about achievements. I mean, I'll get them if they're easy, but I'm not going to try and try and try for this one little insignificant thing. You suck.

They're really only good to get for two reasons:

1. To get that feeling of accomplishment.

2. To show off to your friends.
