I like the Cask of Amontillado or however you spell it, nothing else besides shit like The Raven and stuff in school. I could care less .I'm assuming you were also going to say Stephanie meyer, GetsugaSSJ?

Poe is not just for schoolwork... if Cask of Amontillado and The Raven (which is a poem...) are the only things you can reference you don't kow what you're talking about.
What about the The Masque of the Red Death? What is that classified as?
My favorite Poe story... not a murder story, more of an abstract horror story.
I had to read it last night for school. I was very confused.
wiki plot synopsis ftw. I got the full picture in 2 paragraphs.

Sad when you need a synopsis for a story that's a few pages long.
I dont have the book retard

It's not a book, retard. If you wanted to know the plot you should have read the fucking story, which is easily accessible online and at a library, retard.

Libraries in STL are closed on Sundays, regardless, and I'd rather read wiki than Poe's actual writing because his vocabulary fucks with my mind. I can read it, it's just like...irritating....idk. Plus, i figured it was in a book of short stories since it is so short so i jsust said book.

Don't get on your high horse, you'll fall off eventually.

How is it hard to understand Poe? He isn't writing in fucking Spanish.

You mad?

Unless you are 10... and live in Bandladesh.

Anyway, Poe is pretty simple. You should feel bad if you consider that hard.

Poe is not hard to read.

I know, but something like this

He bore aloft a drawn dagger, and had approached, in rapid impetuosity, to within three or four feet of the retreating figure, when the latter, having attained the extremity of the velvet apartment, turned suddenly and confronted his pursuer.

(This was the only excerpt i could find, and it's not that good, mind you. I think teh Pit and the Pendulum had more elaborate wordings)

is too...idk how to word it..... not slow paced..... but something.... i jsut dont like the old english writing Like dickens.

No, not like Dickens at all. 'Old English' is Shakespeare. Poe was an American writing in the mid-1800s. His prose is often elaborate but it is not hard to read.

Amontillado is a murder story, not horror. As is most of Poe's work.

I just read that in school like a month ago.

Old English is like Beowulf. Shakespeare is Early Modern English.

He uses big words that hurt my brain.

"Metal is so simple, all you gotta do is gargle with battery acid and treat your instruments like cheap hookers"
